Margaret Gillespie, Parish Administrator
Margaret Gillespie has been St. John's Parish Administrator since 2013 and before that served as office volunteer. She holds a Masters of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School and has been involved in Christian Formation and liturgical ministries in her years as a parishioner at St. John's. The office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm.
Dr. John Ward, Organist
In addition to his duties at St. John’s. John Ward is also the organist at St. Peter’s Church, Haverstraw, and sub-organist at St. Aedan’s, Pearl River. Dr. Ward teaches piano, singing, and theory at The Ridgewood Conservatory in Paramus, New Jersey. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music and Catholic University, he has served churches in Virginia, D.C., Maryland, Maine, and New Jersey. He is the Northern New Jersey Representative of Trinity College London, an international music examining body, and the former representative for Washington, D.C., of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. He holds the ATCL (Associate, Trinity College London) in piano, the FRSM (Fellow of the Royal Schools of Music) in piano, the LRSM (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music) with Distinction in organ, and the LRSM in singing. He holds the FAGO certification, Fellow of the American Guild of Organists. He has taught at Catholic University of America, George Washington University, Governor’s Magnet School for the Arts (VA). As a freelance performer and composer, he has been involved in 250 concert performances as pianist, conductor, organist, singer, or promoter, and in over 100 theatrical productions from children’s theater to professional companies, as music director, composer or actor.
