Janice K. Coyle (93) of New City, NY passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025 with family by her side.

Janice (Janey) is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, John W. Coyle, Jr; her son, John Coyle IV and his wife, Theresa; her daughter Katherine Mistele and her husband, Bill; her beloved grandchildren: Charlsey Coyle, Sarah Mistele, Carolyn Mistele and her fiancé Tyler Benson; and by many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Elvira Lohren, and her brother Donald Lohren.

Janey was born on April 5, 1931 in Union City, NJ, and lived for the past 86 years in New City. She graduated from Spring Valley High School and Packard Business School before working as a secretary for Lederle laboratories. She married her childhood sweetheart on March 2, 1957, and cherished her roles as wife, mother, and grandmother.

Janey was known for her kind, fun-loving, and generous spirit, her deep faith in God, and her service to others. She had many dear, lifelong friendships, and loved her church family at St. John’s Episcopal Church, where she was an active member since childhood.
