A Prayer for Discernment

Gracious God, be with the search committee, the vestry, and the people of St. John’s through this time of transition as we seek our new rector. We pray that your Holy Spirit guide our efforts so that we may discern where you are leading us. We pray also for the priest you are calling to shepherd this congregation. May they faithfully prepare us to carry out our ministries, according to your will. Bring us all to joyful unity and shared mission, that your Church may be strengthened and your name glorified, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
